COMPANY PROFILE

We have taken our responsibilities and objectives seriously since the company was started in 1990. We take pride in the thoroughness of our boat searches and the fairness with which we represent our clients. We do not pride ourselves on how many clients we serve, but rather how well we serve the clients we have. We have been members of the Yacht Brokers Association of America since starting and are firm believers in their code of ethics and what that organization is doing to improve the professionalism of the yacht brokerage industry.

Our company president has been in the yacht sales business since 1982, having left the engineering profession in private industry for "a little change of pace" in the boating industry. Since that time he has sold new, used and brokerage boats both power and sail in the northern Chesapeake Bay. He was Treasurer of the Yacht Brokerage Association of America in 2002, and serves on the Board in 2003. He also was one of the first twenty or so brokers to take and pass the Certified Professional Yacht Broker exam in January 2003.

Experience

Our principal has two technical degrees, thirteen years in private industry and has been selling boats since 1982. Our principal is a Certified Professional Yacht Broker.

Industry Association Membership

We are a members of Yacht Brokers Association of America and we strongly believe in the Code of Ethics of that organization.

Thorough Understanding of the Boat Options

We have developed a unique, proprietary, extensive (over 9000 boats), computerized database of sailboats built in the last 40 years that permits parametric searches. In process are databases for trawlers and other powerboats. We have a good reference library for both power and sail.

Location

We are located in Georgetown, MD, USA near the head of the Chesapeake Bay in a semi-rural area that is home to some 2000 boats. The water in the well-protected harbor is tidal but fresh! Draft is limited to about 9'. There are 6 marinas with the largest lift capacity being 100 tons. Boats for sale here show very well as most boats in the harbor are kept very nicely and substantially lack the corrosive effects of exposure to the salt water.

An Agreeable Style

We have been fortunate enough to conduct our business over the last 10 years without lawsuits and with rare misunderstandings (please do not take this remark to be a challenge!). We hope this is an indication of our desire and attempts to treat all parties fairly.
