WEB CHANGES

This is where we'll announce the most recent substantive additions/changes to our web site. If you've visited us before and want to know what's changed, take a look here. We were new to the Web on 5/19/00.

In general we try to update our brokerage listings at least once per month. These changes will not appear here. However, if the format for presenting the data changes, it will probably be noted here. Similarly, the Freebies/Links section has links to data which  change all of the time; such changes will not be noted here. However, the addition of new links might well be noted on this page. As of 7/8/00 we added a mortgage payment calculator to the  Freebies/Links section. There is also a link to the US government chart update site as of 11/1/2003 and a nifty graphical Chesapeake Bay wind prediction site as of 9/2001. A powerboat speed prediction calculator was added in May 2001. It allows a rough maximum speed prediction given boat weight, installed horsepower, and boat waterline length. As far as we have seen we are the only ones with such a prediction technique (should be safe to say since we developed it ourselves!).

As far as boats for sale is concerned, there are two lists - one for power and one for sail. They are both on the same web page. Clicking on the boat(s) of interest there leads one to an introductory description of the boat along with links to drawings and pictures that are available. Clicking the "FULL SPECS" button (there usually is one, but please don't get angry if there isn't one) on this page gives more written descriptive material - a "listing sheet" - which prints well. Most visitors have found this to be an agreeable style. We even get a few compliments! We hope it works well for you.

As of June of 2001 we have started to add more descriptive material about our sailboat database for those who may be interested. The list of descriptive pages is found here; fair warning - you may have to read a little bit - not for the impatient!
